James has experience in commercial transaction and business law, insurance litigation, contracts, employment law, franchise law, criminal and family law.

James McKenzie has served on the local Board of Directors for City National Bank (formerly Classic Bank), Ashland KY 2002-2004, Shelter of Hope homeless shelter Ashland KY 1998-2001, Russell Christian Church Elder and Board Member, Russell KY 1998-2003, Bellefonte Country Club, Bellefonte KY 1988-present. James is admitted to the Supreme Court Kentucky, US District Court Eastern & Western District Kentucky and US Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit.
Prior to joining Pedley & Gordinier, PLLC, James owned and operated McKenzie Law Office, he is a former President of Fazoli’s Italian Restaurants Franchise Association and he also practiced law at Hensley Law Office. In his early years, James was a staff attorney for eight Circuit Court Judges conducting research, writing and drafting opinions.
